This custom inset shaker trash base cabinet is built to order in solid birch and painted in any of Sherwin-Williams' 1,500+ colors for one price — no color upcharge, ever. It comes 18″ wide — adjustable to the nearest 1/4″ — with a single door set flush into the face frame on concealed soft-close hinges. Purpose-built for a pull-out trash and recycling unit, it keeps bins hidden behind furniture-grade inset doors instead of standing in the open.

A finish smoother and tougher than site-painted cabinets

Every door is finished in factory-baked UV-cured lacquer — smooth as polished glass and built to resist chips, scratches, moisture, and yellowing far beyond any brush or spray finish applied in a home. It arrives fully cured, ready for the busiest cabinet in the kitchen. The cabinet box and shelving are sealed in clear UV protectant.

Construction & materials

Custom sizing

Order the standard 18″ size, or specify your exact width to the closest 1/4″ from the stock size. Exposed sides require skin panels, with trim where necessary.

Ordering & lead time

Custom-order cabinets require 8–11 weeks for production before shipping begins. Custom orders are non-returnable, non-refundable, and can't be changed once in production — changes require a new cabinet at additional cost, so please double-check all measurements before ordering. We take great care to help with sizing, but order accuracy is the purchaser's responsibility. Free shipping available on qualifying orders.

What is a trash base cabinet? A trash base cabinet is an 18″ single-door base designed to house a pull-out trash and recycling unit, concealing bins behind a cabinet door at the heart of the kitchen work triangle — built here in furniture-grade inset construction with a 1″ solid birch face frame.

Does a custom color cost more? No. Pricing is by cabinet size only, so every one of Sherwin-Williams' 1,500+ colors costs exactly the same. There is no color upcharge at any size, ever.

What finish is used? A factory-baked UV-cured lacquer painted finish over solid birch — harder, smoother, and more moisture-resistant than site-applied paint, fully cured before it ships. The cabinet box and shelving are sealed in a clear UV protectant.

How long does production take? Custom-order cabinets require 8–11 weeks of production before shipping begins.

Drawer glides: full-extension soft-close drawer glides come standard. Blum drawer glides are available upon request for $25.00 per drawer.

Delivery is by RTA Wholesalers company vehicle or LTL freight carrier, or you can pick up at our Carson, CA warehouse. Estimated delivery and shipping details are managed through your customer portal.
