The Coffee Bean 90" tall pantry cabinet is the height that solves real ceilings. At 90" tall by 24" deep, in 18", 24" and 30" widths, it leaves six inches of headroom under a standard 8-foot ceiling — room for crown molding, room for a soffit, and room for the fact that almost no floor is perfectly level.

That margin is why many installers reach for the 90" before the 96". A 96" pantry has to fit a 96" opening exactly; add engineered flooring, a self-levelling pour, or a ceiling that drops half an inch across the run, and it does not go in. The 90" absorbs all of that and still gives you seven and a half feet of storage.

Doors and drawer fronts are 3/4" solid oak frames with a 1/4" plywood centre panel, stained Coffee Bean under a factory-baked UV-cured lacquer. Grain and figure vary naturally from piece to piece, and on a cabinet this tall the variation is visible across the full door — order the pantry alongside the rest of your run so the pieces come off related stock.

Installer note: check the ceiling across the whole run, not at one point. A ceiling that drops 1/2" over eight feet is ordinary, and it is the reason the 90" exists — but you still want to know before the cabinet is on the wall, because the crown has to close that gap.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose the 90" or the 96" pantry?

Take the 96" if you want the cabinet to meet the ceiling and your measurements confirm a true 96" opening. Take the 90" if you want crown molding above it, if your ceiling is uneven, or if flooring has yet to go down. The 90" gives up half a shelf of height and buys back all of your tolerance — which is usually the better trade.

What goes in the six inches above it?

Crown molding is the common answer, and it makes the cabinet read as built-in rather than as a box placed against a wall. A filler strip painted or finished to match also works where crown is not wanted. Leaving the gap open is the one option worth avoiding — it collects dust and reads as an unfinished edge.

How much does it actually hold?

Four adjustable 3/4" shelves across 24" of depth. In a 30" width that is roughly 45 square feet of shelf, enough for a full pantry load with the appliance overflow underneath. The shelves move on standard pins, so spacing follows what you store rather than the other way round.

Do I need skin panels?

On any exposed side, yes. Sides ship factory-finished in painted white, which is right between neighbours and wrong at the end of a run. A Coffee Bean skin panel carries the finish around the corner. On a pantry this tall the exposed side is one of the largest surfaces in the room, so it is not the place to economise.

Pantry cabinets require a $2,500 minimum purchase to qualify for free shipping. Call for shipping charges on smaller orders. Where a size falls between two stock widths, take the nearest larger stock size and specify.

Contractor Grade A, RTA (ready to assemble). All hardware needed to assemble the cabinetry is included; cabinet handles are not included. Free shipping available on qualifying orders.

Shipping is free. Pantry cabinets and large skin panels ship on full-size pallets, so orders that include them need a $2,500 minimum to qualify for free shipping.
