The Coffee Bean 96" tall pantry cabinet is a full-height storage cabinet, 96" tall by 24" deep, available 18", 24" and 30" wide. At 24" deep it holds the same footprint as the base cabinets below your counter, so a pantry run sits flush with the rest of the kitchen instead of bulging into the room.

Eight feet of height is the point. A 96" pantry runs to a standard ceiling with no soffit gap and no dust shelf above it, and it swallows the small-appliance overflow — stand mixer, slow cooker, the roasting pan that fits nowhere — that otherwise colonises your base cabinets.

Doors and drawer fronts are 3/4" solid oak frames with a 1/4" plywood centre panel, stained Coffee Bean under a factory-baked UV-cured lacquer. Because it is a stain on solid oak, grain and figure vary naturally from piece to piece — on a door this tall the variation runs the full height, which is a large surface for it to show on. Every width splits into an upper and a lower section, so no single door spans the full 96". All doors run on European-style hidden soft-close hinges.

What is inside

Four adjustable 3/4" shelves, coated with a clear UV protectant. The interior is natural birch with a clear finish — it stays birch rather than being stained to match the fronts, which keeps the inside of a deep cabinet bright enough to see the back of a shelf.

Installer note: a 96" cabinet needs the floor checked before it goes up. Shim to level at the base rather than forcing the doors to hang square on an out-of-level cabinet — at this height a 1/8" error at the floor is a visible gap at the top.

Frequently asked questions

Will a 96" pantry fit under an 8-foot ceiling?

Exactly, with nothing to spare. A standard 8-foot ceiling is 96" from a finished floor, so the cabinet fills it floor to ceiling. Measure your actual ceiling height before ordering — framed heights vary, and flooring build-up eats clearance. Where the fit is tight, an 84" or 90" pantry with a filler above is the safer choice.

How many shelves does it come with?

Four adjustable 3/4" shelves, coated with a clear UV protectant. They move on standard shelf pins, so you can set the spacing around what you actually store — tall spacing at the bottom for small appliances, tighter at eye level for cans and jars. Extra shelves can be ordered separately if you want more than four.

Why is the inside birch rather than Coffee Bean?

Visibility, and it is deliberate across the line. A natural birch interior with a clear finish reflects light to the back of a 24"-deep shelf; a dark stained interior absorbs it, and the back third of every shelf becomes guesswork. Every cabinet in this collection is built the same way, so interiors match throughout.

Do I need skin panels?

On any exposed side, yes. Cabinet sides ship factory-finished in painted white, which is correct where a cabinet sits between neighbours but wrong at the end of a run. A Coffee Bean skin panel covers that side so the finish carries around. On a 96" pantry the exposed side is the largest visible surface in the kitchen — it is not a detail to skip.

Ordering and shipping

Pantry cabinets require a $2,500 minimum purchase to qualify for free shipping. Call for shipping charges on smaller orders. Where a size falls between two stock widths, take the nearest larger stock size and specify.

Contractor Grade A, RTA (ready to assemble). All hardware needed to assemble the cabinetry is included; cabinet handles are not included. Free shipping available on qualifying orders.

Shipping is free. Pantry cabinets and large skin panels ship on full-size pallets, so orders that include them need a $2,500 minimum to qualify for free shipping.

Returns: stock cabinets can be returned within 30 days, unassembled and in the original box. There is no restocking fee; the customer pays return shipping.
