- 3/16" thick skin panels are used to cover the natural oak sides of the cabinets where the side of the cabinet remains exposed.
Our panels are separated by use.
12" wide panels are designated for wall cabinet.
24"x 34.5" Wide panels are for base cabinets.

24" x 96" panels are for pantry and wall oven cabinets.
34.5" x 96" are for island back or peninsula's.
One of the most important elements of cabinet construction is the addition of skin panel cabinet sides and backs. These pieces are what finishes the ends and toe kick base of the cabinets to match the cabinet fronts.
Island Skin is used at the back side of a peninsula or island to cover the exposed portion of the cabinet backside. Purchase Outside Corner Molding x 8" (OCM8) for the outside corners where the cabinet side meets the exposed plywood edge.
Many clients use Ship Lap boards to enhance the details of the island/peninsula.

One side is finished Natural White Oak.
Construction & Finish — Natural White Oak Shaker
Doors and drawer fronts are 3/4" solid oak frames with a 1/4" plywood center panel, protected by a durable Clear UV finish that showcases the natural white oak grain. The face frame is 1-1/2" wide x 3/4" thick solid oak with the same Clear UV finish.
The cabinet box is 1/2" 7-ply plywood. The interior is natural birch with a clear finish, and shelving is coated with a clear UV protectant finish. Cabinet sides are factory-finished in painted white; oak-matched skin panels are required on any exposed side so every visible surface matches the natural oak fronts. Toe kick skin is also required to match the exterior.
Installer note: the cabinet underside ships unfinished. A diligent installer will finish the bottom edge for a fully detailed installation.
Drawer boxes are solid wood with 1/2" thick sides and dovetail joints, riding on DTC D-Motion face-frame full-extension soft-close undermount slides with Peg Lock. Doors swing on European-style hidden soft-close hinges. Cabinet hardware carries a lifetime warranty. A small amount of glue is recommended when assembling drawer boxes.
In-Stock Contractor Grade A ready to assemble (RTA) white oak kitchen cabinets suit both residential new construction and remodeling projects. All hardware needed to assemble the cabinetry is included; cabinet handles are not included.
