Honey Glaze Shaker Blind Corner Base Cabinet
Make difficult kitchen corners more useful with our Honey Glaze Shaker Blind Corner Base Cabinet, designed to provide accessible storage where two base-cabinet runs meet.
Available in 36" and 42" cabinet widths, this blind corner base can be configured for either a left-hand or right-hand layout by changing the position of the drawer and door during assembly.
Each cabinet measures 34-1/2" high x 24" deep and features durable plywood construction, a solid birch face frame, dovetail drawer construction, soft-close hardware, an adjustable shelf, and 1-1/4" overlay Honey Glaze Shaker fronts.
The cabinet ships Ready to Assemble (RTA) with the hardware required for cabinet assembly.
Available Blind Corner Cabinet Sizes
Choose from:
- 36" Blind Corner Base Cabinet — may be pulled from the corner up to approximately 42" overall installation width
- 42" Blind Corner Base Cabinet — may be pulled from the corner up to approximately 45" overall installation width
All cabinets are:
Height: 34-1/2"
Depth: 24"
The ability to pull the cabinet away from the corner gives the installer additional flexibility when laying out the adjoining cabinet run.
Left or Right Blind Corner Installation
The Honey Glaze blind corner cabinet can be configured for either a blind-left or blind-right installation.
The location of the drawer and door can be reversed during assembly to accommodate the direction of your kitchen layout.
This flexibility makes the cabinet suitable for corners where the accessible opening needs to face either side of the adjoining cabinet run.
Adjustable Corner Installation
A key advantage of this blind corner cabinet is the extended center face-frame area.
The cabinet can be pulled away from the corner by up to approximately 3", exposing additional face frame and increasing the effective installation width.
This can help:
- Provide clearance for adjoining cabinet doors and drawers
- Reduce or eliminate the need for a separate corner filler
- Adjust the cabinet run to fit the available wall dimensions
- Improve access at the blind corner opening
The final pull distance should be determined during kitchen layout and installation.
Drawer and Door Storage
The accessible portion of the blind corner cabinet includes:
- One top drawer
- Solid birch dovetail drawer box
- Full-extension soft-close undermount drawer glides
- One lower Honey Glaze Shaker door
- Concealed soft-close hinges
- One adjustable 3/4" thick shelf
- Large blind-corner interior storage area
The cabinet is ideal for cookware, small appliances, mixing bowls, serving pieces, pantry items, and other kitchen essentials.
Solid Birch Dovetail Drawer
The drawer box is constructed from solid birch with dovetail joinery.
Dovetail construction provides a strong mechanical connection at the drawer corners.
For RTA assembly, applying a small amount of wood glue to the dovetail joints is recommended for additional long-term strength.
Full-Extension Soft-Close Drawer Glides
The drawer operates on full-extension soft-close undermount glides.
Full extension allows easier access to the entire drawer, while the undermount design keeps most of the drawer hardware out of view.
The soft-close mechanism provides smooth, controlled closing.
Adjustable Interior Shelf
The cabinet includes one adjustable 3/4" thick shelf.
The shelf can be repositioned to accommodate different storage needs and is coated with a clear UV protective finish.
1-1/4" Overlay Honey Glaze Shaker Design
The Honey Glaze cabinet collection uses 1-1/4" overlay construction.
The door and drawer front extend beyond the openings in the face frame, minimizing the amount of visible frame around the accessible cabinet front.
On the completed cabinet:
- Approximately 1/4" of face frame remains visible along the outer sides
- Approximately 1" of face frame remains exposed above the top drawer to accommodate variations in countertop front-edge overhang
The blind corner cabinet also includes additional center face-frame width specifically designed to accommodate corner installation adjustments.
Honey Glaze Shaker Finish
The Honey Glaze Shaker finish combines warm wood tones with the clean lines of a classic recessed-panel Shaker design.
Honey Glaze works especially well in transitional, traditional, contemporary, farmhouse-inspired, and warm neutral kitchens.
It coordinates well with quartz, granite, natural stone, warm wood flooring, brass, bronze, matte black, and brushed nickel hardware.
Plywood Cabinet Construction
Honey Glaze Shaker blind corner cabinets are constructed with durable plywood and solid birch components.
Construction includes:
- 1/2" 7-ply plywood cabinet box
- 3/4" solid birch face frame
- Solid birch dovetail drawer box
- Natural birch cabinet interior
- Clear UV-protectant interior finish
- Finished natural birch rear interior surface
- Engineered plywood backside for additional rigidity
- One adjustable 3/4" thick shelf
- Ready-to-Assemble construction
Exposed Cabinet Sides and Toe Kick
Honey Glaze cabinet boxes have unfinished white painted exterior sides.
If an exterior cabinet side remains visible after installation, a matching Honey Glaze skin panel is required to create a finished appearance that coordinates with the cabinet front.
Matching Honey Glaze finished material is also required for any visible toe-kick area.
Ready-to-Assemble Blind Corner Cabinet
This Honey Glaze blind corner cabinet ships Ready to Assemble (RTA).
All hardware required for cabinet assembly is included.
Decorative cabinet handles, knobs, and pulls are not included.
