Quantity

1-1/4" Overlay Shaker door, 11" W x 15" H, Manhattan Cream.

The door is free. You pay shipping only, one per household.

A photo can't tell you how a finish reads under your own kitchen light. This is a real production door off the same line as your cabinets — same wood, same lacquer, same sheen. Set it against your countertop slab, your flooring, your wall color, and look at it at 4pm.

What "1-1/4" overlay" means

The door sits on top of the face frame instead of inside it, covering all but a sliver. Only 1/4" of face frame shows to the left and right of each door and drawer front. On base cabinets, 1" of frame is exposed above the top drawer — deliberate, and there to clear the front edge lip of your countertop, which varies by material and edge profile.

You get a nearly continuous run of door faces with minimal frame lines breaking it up.

Overlay or inset?

Overlay is the practical choice for most remodels. Wider installation tolerances mean the frame doesn't have to be perfectly square for doors to close evenly, and there's room to absorb an out-of-plumb wall. Inset gives a flush, furniture-built look at higher cost and longer lead time. If your walls are typical, 1-1/4" overlay gets you most of the look for less.

The finish

Manhattan Cream in a factory-baked, water-based UV-cured lacquer with a satin sheen. Cured under UV lamps in a controlled line rather than air-dried on site, which is why it resists moisture, steam, and abrasion better than a field-applied finish.

How it's built

Solid birch, not veneer over composite. Face frames are 3/4" solid birch. Boxes are 1/2" 7-ply plywood with a natural birch interior in clear polyurethane, and the back panel is grade A finished natural birch over engineered plywood for rigidity. Drawer boxes are solid birch with dovetail joinery.

Hidden European soft-close hinges and full-extension soft-close undermount drawer glides with peg lock, both lifetime warranty. California CARB2 compliant.

Before you order a full kitchen

All exposed exterior cabinet surfaces require skin panels and trim to finish, and toe kicks require skin panels matched to the cabinet front. Budget for these — they're what makes an installed run look built rather than assembled. Assembly hardware is included with cabinet orders. Handles are not included. A small amount of glue is recommended when assembling drawer boxes.
